Vision Life Ministries started as a small fellowship of six believers in Pastor Jackson's home in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As we would frequently gather together, God began to speak a vision into Pastor Jackson to start a ministry whereby Christians are taught how to live Jesus daily. After much prayer and counsel, Pastor Jackson stepped out on faith to start Vision Life Ministries.

Vision Life Ministries received its certificate of incorporation on December 31, 2020. We highlight this date because this was the last day of one of the worst natural years that our world has ever faced as we all battled the COVID-19 pandemic that claimed the lives of so many people. Yet, during a pandemic and utter turmoil for many others, God raised up a ministry – God ordained Vision Life Ministries.

Pastor Jackson was ordained a minister on December 31, 2014; and six years later, the Lord birthed and ordained a ministry through him.  Vision Life Ministries was ordained by God to serve God’s people. We are charged to live and to be a godly example to the world in our daily lives and activities.

Vision Statement

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. - (Proverbs 29:18 KJV)

God has charged Vision Life Ministries to preach the Word of God in season, out of season, and to destroy the works of darkness. Additionally, God has charged Vision Life Ministries to live Jesus; that is, we are called to be a godly example to the world in our daily lives and activities. This includes moments when we are alone and or in the company of others. There are many people who preach and profess Jesus, but there are not many people who live Jesus.

Matthew 7:21-23 states that many will profess to have done many things in the name of Jesus, but Jesus will tell them that He never knew them. God has called Vision Life to walk honorably before all men; and to exhibit great character, integrity, and respect for all mankind as we deliver the simplicity of the Gospel to a dying world.

The vision is summed up as follows:

1. Vision Life will deliver the Gospel to a dying world. We will not make living for Jesus hard.

2. Vision Life will preach and teach Jesus only. We do not teach the traditions of man.

3. Vision Life will reflect and live Jesus. No play actors allowed! We must walk honorably before God and man.

4. Vision Life will train ambassadors for Christ.

5. Vision Life will equip and send others out. The harvest is great, but the laborers are few. Christians are needed in every area of our world.

6. Vision Life will walk circumspectly and honorably before all men. No hidden agendas allowed, for God knows and sees all even when man does not.

7. Vision Life will give God the glory in all things. God is our leader; therefore, He alone must be glorified.

VISION STATEMENT
ARTICLES OF FAITH

Articles of Faith

1. Vision Life believes the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 4:4; 2 Peter 1:21)

2. Vision Life believes that there is only one true and living God. He is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  These three are co-equal, and they represent one God. (Deuteronomy 6:4, 32:39; Isaiah 48:16; 1 Kings 8:60; Matthew 28:18-20; John 15:26; Revelations 1:8)

3. Vision Life believes Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We believe in the deity and humanity of Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His present rule as Head of the Church, and in His personal return in power and glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Luke 2:52; John 20:31; Philippians 2:5-11; Matthew 16:16-17; Matthew 1:23; 1 Peter 2:21-22; Matthew 28:6; 1 Peter 1:18-21; Matthew 16:19; Ephesians 5:23; Acts 1:9-11; 1 John 2:2; Revelations 1:8; Revelations 1:17-18, 19:15-16)

4. Vision Life believes that for the salvation of lost and sinful men, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential. It is God’s free gift, but we must accept it. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:23-29)

5. Vision Life believes in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. (1 Corinthians 6:19; John 14:16-17; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11; John 16:12-15)

6. Vision Life believes that all those who die in God’s grace through faith are assured eternal salvation; those who die in a state of sin and unbelief suffer the punishment of Hell. To be eternally in union with God is eternal life; to be separated from Him is Hell. (Daniel 12:2; John 11:25; 1 John 5:11-13; John 5:24; Romans 5:12-21, 6:23, 8:10-11; 1 Corinthians 15:56)

7. Vision Life believes in the unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, with equality across racial and class differences. We do not believe in any form of discrimination. (Galatians 3:26-29)

8. Vision Life believes that marriage is the joining of one man and one woman (sex as determined at birth) in a single, exclusive union, authored and sanctioned by God. (Genesis 2:22-24; Matthew 19:4-5; Ephesians 5:25-32; 1 Corinthians 7:1-4; Leviticus 18:22)

9. Vision Life believes in baptism through the emergence of water. Baptism represents the washing away of sins and is symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We do not believe that baptism alone saves. We believe that salvation comes through confessing that Jesus died for all of our sins. (Isaiah 53:5; Romans 10:9)

10. Vision Life believes that God can use anyone, whether male or female, to proclaim His Word. We believe that God calls pastors and ministers; therefore, we do not have the authority as a church to vote anyone in or out. God does the replacing. (Acts 2:16-18)
